The POWER Rug

The POWER Rug is a collaboration between POoR Collective and FLOOR Story. The project aims to translate the architectural language of London’s tower blocks into colour, pattern and woven form. Inspired by the deck-access of buildings such as the Trellick Tower, the design reinterprets the identity and rhythm of the city through a bold geometric language.

Horizontal and vertical bands are layered with circles, referencing both the structure of tower blocks and the communal spaces within them. The overlapping forms capture the movement, diversity and interconnectedness of urban life, while bold colour brings energy and joy.

By translating ideas usually explored through architecture into a tactile object, POWER aims to turn memory, belonging and collective experience into something that can be seen, felt and lived with.
