Build The Way
The Build The Way is a programme founded by POoR and London-based architecture practice GPAD. This initiative aimed at 18-22 year olds, is a 12 month paid programme which seeks to train young people who are passionate about architecture and design but may not have the means to study at university. The first Build The Way Intern was Chloe Mawette who worked at GPAD for over a year and received 12 months of mentoring from POoR Collective.
For this internship, POoR developed the graphic design, visual language and name. Content was also developed alongside an open call for applicants to apply which was managed by POoR. In total there were over 40 applicants showing that there is a real appetite for this type of traineeship. Currently, GPAD has teamed up with HUT Architecture to deliver the next iteration of this programme.
